First Time ask for Thai Passport
- Minor applicants (under 20 years old with marriage certificate of parents)
- Thai birth certificate with 1 copy
- Both parents’ Thai ID or Thai Passport with 1 copy
- Marriage certificate with 1 copy
- Authorized signature must initial on the application form when finish process.
- If either one of parents can’t present, then it will required a letter of consent authorized for minor to have a Thai passport with signature certify via Notary Public for those missing parents.
- If both parents live in Thailand then it will required a letter of consent authorized minor to have a Thai passport with both signature certify via province district of parent location.
- Minor applicants (under 20 years old with divorce of parents)
- Thai birth certificate with 1 copy
- Both parents’ Thai ID or Thai Passport with 1 copy
- Either one of parents authorized signature must initial on the application form when finish process.
- Divorce certificate with court order of either parents’ guardian with 1 copy
- In case of divorce, the legal documents have to follow this procedures:
- The court order need to certify by Secretary of State of the issued state

- All legal document is required to translate in Thai
- Submit all certified documents to Royal Thai Consulate-General for approval (Fee is $15) then continue to Thai passport process.
- Minor applicants (under 20 years old with NO marriage certificate of parents)
- Thai birth certificate with 1 copy
- Mother’s Thai ID or Thai Passport with 1 copy
- Mother who live in same house whole with minor will need to fill the legal guardian form and initial on the application when finish (Download)
- Mother who live outside country it will need to fill the legal guardian form in province district of mother’s location and also the letter of consent to authorized minor to do a Thai passport. Certify both documents before come to do Thai passport.
- Minor applicant (under 20 years old who already have a first passport)
- Submit all required documents as follow on number 1-3 above
- Current passport
- Thai ID or House Registration
- Minor/person who was born outside Thailand applicant who request a first time Thai passport
- Minor/person who request first Thai passport must has a Thai birth certificate with 1 copy if not, applicant must request to have a Thai birth certificate prior to do Thai passport.
- For required documents follow as the above variety condition
- After received first Thai passport, applicants have a role to register their name into house registration of parents or relatives. Because it will be required the house registration for next renewal. You may authorized legal action to whomever with a written consent.
- Minor/person who was born outside Thailand applicant who request to renew Thai passport
- There is a restriction prohibit for second time renewal, applicants must have a copy of house registration prior to renew Thai passport.
- For those who request to add name in to house registration have to process by themselves unless a written consent form with authorized signature for substitution.
- All Preparation documents is mention as above.
- Central Registry Office
- Person who has a name in this Central Registry Office* can’t do Thai passport * The person name has been withdrawal out of regular house registration.
- If applicant who has a name in Central Registry Office will have to revoke their name back to regular house registration by doing process at District office of friends or relative who own the house, or has a written consent and certify via Royal Thai Consulate-General and process to District office to add applicant name on house registration and bring a copy to Thai passport processing.
E-Passport Fee
– US $ 37 for the 5 year E-passport
– US $ 55 for the 10 years E-Passport

How to receive Thai Passport All Thai passport is produced from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Consular Department in Bangkok, Thailand and distribute via air mail to many countries around the world including Los Angeles. Normal processing to recipient will be approximately 4-6 weeks from the date applicant came in. There are 3 way to receive Thai passport:
All applicants are requested to send by mail with providing a Priority Express Mail** envelop with stamp on (Meter Stamp will not accept it) you can purchase from US Post Office all over country.
