- In case of expired Thai ID card
• Current Thai ID (even if the ID has already expired) and • Proof of residency in U.S. ( Such as U.S. Driver license, Power/Water/Gas Bill etc. )

- In case of lost or damaged Thai ID Card
- A copy of the current Thai ID Card (if possible)
- The Photo Identification issued by the Thai Government such as Thai Passport, Thai Driver License, etc.
- The Photo Identification issued by the U.S. Government

- In case of dilapidated Thai ID card
- Current Thai ID card
- The Photo Identification issued by the Thai Government such as Thai Passport, Thai Driver License, etc.
- The Photo Identification issued by the U.S. Government

- In case of name changing (First Name and/or Last name)
- Current Thai National ID card
- Certificate of name change
- The Photo Identification issued by the U.S. Government

- Change of address
- Current Thai National ID Card
- Thai House Registration with new address
- The Photo Identification issued by the U.S. Government

Those who will not be permitted to renew Thai National ID Cards abroad
- Their name is not registered under their Thai House Registration
- Thai ID card has not been renewed for an extended period of time and their record does not appear in the official central data base
- The person has never been issued a Thai National ID card

Process of obtaining a Thai ID Card
- Complete the Thai National Identification online application form.
- The officers check the documents.
- Visiting date: Scan fingerprints and photo is taken.
- Card is issued
- Receive the card
