On 10 September 2026, Mr. Sompop Sermswatsri, Consul-General of Thailand in Los Angeles, delivered opening remarks at the concluding event of the “Dine Thai CA 2026” campaign, organized by the Thai-American Chamber of Commerce of California.

Held from 15 July to 16 August 2026, the campaign promoted Thai cuisine throughout California through social media outreach and special menus offered by participating Thai restaurants. The initiative helped raise awareness of Thai cuisine and created opportunities for Thai restaurateurs and entrepreneurs to reach new customers and expand their markets.

Consul-General also presented certificates to participating Thai restaurants and awarded two round-trip airline tickets from Los Angeles to Bangkok, generously sponsored by STARLUX Airlines, to the winners of the “Eat Thai Fly Free” social media activity.

With approximately 40 representatives from Thai restaurants, media, and local influencers in attendance, the event served as an opportunity to celebrate the campaign’s achievements and further strengthen the promotion of Thai cuisine and Thai businesses in California.
