Tourist visa exemption scheme

Passport holders from the following countries / territory are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period not exceeding 45 days**

***From 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023, the period of stay for visa-on-arrival is extended from 15 to 30 days.
****From 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023, the period of stay for tourist visa exemption scheme is extended from 30 to 45 days. In addition, the period of stay for bilateral agreements on visa exemption are extended from 14 and 30 days to 45 days.

U.S. Passport Holders are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 45 days** on each visit 

Visa Exemption conditions

•  Entering the Kingdom through land/sea border checkpoints under Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme is permitted
   only twice in a calendar year, except nationals of Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, and Singapore who
   may enter Thailand through such checkpoints more than twice in a calendar year.

•  Travelers entering Thailand under the Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme must possess adequate cash of or
    equivalent to 20,000 Baht per person or 40,000 Baht per family.
