On 11 June 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles, in collaboration with the Pacific Council, an organization dedicated to fostering international engagement and cross-sector collaboration within the community, organized the Thailand Business Forum under the theme “Thailand: Navigating the Path Forward” at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, California. The event brought together more than 30 business leaders and private-sector representatives from a wide range of industries across the region.
Mr. Tor Saralamba, Consul-General of Thailand in Los Angeles, and Ms. Kristina Kvien, President and CEO of the Pacific Council, delivered opening remarks highlighting Thailand’s current economic outlook and competitive strengths, and also highlighted the longstanding partnership between Thailand and the United States.
The program commenced with a fireside chat between the Consul-General and Mr. Michael Heath, former Deputy Chief of Mission and former Consul-General of the United States in Thailand. The discussion focused on the experiences of U.S. businesses operating in Thailand. Mr. Heath shared insights gained from working closely with American companies investing in Thailand and also discussed Thailand’s key strengths, its business environment, and cultural attributes that contribute to its attractiveness as a destination for foreign investment.
This was followed by a panel discussion titled “Unlocking Opportunities in Thailand’s Dynamic Economy,” which consisted of representatives from Team Thailand. This session discussed Thailand’s strategic advantages as a long-term investment destination and highlighted various incentives and support mechanisms available to businesses interested in trade and investment opportunities in sectors such as technology, food and agriculture, film production, and tourism. Panelists also provided updates on Thailand’s economic priorities and tourism promotion policies.
The final session, “Investing Across Borders: Perspectives from Thai-U.S. Business Leaders,” featured Mr. Anat Julintron, CEO of CPF North America, and Mr. Jeremy Faulk, Vice President for Strategic Development and Partnership from Western Digital. The speakers exchanged perspectives based on their experiences of operating a business in Thailand and the United States, respectively. They also offered practical advice for companies interested in expanding their investments and business operations between the two countries.
Throughout the forum, participants actively engaged with the speakers during the Q&A sessions, which reflects strong interest among U.S. businesses in Thailand’s trade and investment opportunities. The discussions underscored Thailand’s continued appeal as a strategic economic partner and investment destination in Southeast Asia.
