1. Emergency travel document is a travel document issued to Thai nationals who have emergency travel, but do not have a passport and cannot wait to receive a regular full validity passport before traveling or whose passports are lost, damaged, or expired. He/ She must be able to submit sufficient proof of Thai nationality to be eligible to apply for an emergency travel document |
2. In some cases, Thai immigration officer will conduct a nationality interview with the holder of an emergency travel document at the port of entry into Thailand. |
3. Emergency travel document is valid for 30 days from the date of issue and for a single journey to Thailand only. After returning to Thailand, the emergency travel document is expired and cannot be renewed. |
4. Emergency travel document takes approximately 2 - 5 business days to process from the date on which the Royal Thai Consulate-General receives the request with all required and completed documents (excluding mailing time to return the document). emergency travel documents can be requested through the following methods:
